Question: Was the flood of Noah just a giant Tsunami?
If the recent collection of large quakes in Haiti, Chile, Japan and Turkey have
taught us anything it is that we all need to be better prepared to take care of
ourselves in the event of a natural disaster. Another thing they show us is
that the threat of Tsunami's is very real, and very dangerous.
I just got done watching a show on the History channel regarding the search for
Noah's Arc. Now I dont care if you believe in all that or not. For me the
adventure is in the hunt for the unknown.
One theory that was brought up was the possibility of a comet hitting Earth and
striking water. Just before this portion of the show aired, I was putting
the thought together in my head of "what if the flood of Noah was actually just
a giant Tsunami?".
This might make sense.
Whether it was caused by some giant earthquake, a rogue comet or an act of God himself
against we weak humans and our failings, does not really matter. The fact is that
a giant Tsunami IS plausible.
Now power down your computer or smart phone and go put together an emergency kit
for you and your loved ones. Our state recomends a "3 days 3 days" method. I
suggest the basics. Several large 5-10 gallon jugs of water. A crank battery radio and flashlight.
Canned foods and long lasting snacks. And a way to COOK stuff such as an inexpensive
camping stove. Oh, and dont forget a basic
first aid kit. You will want to have
a kit for both home AND a smaller version in your car.
