Apple and Adobe are starting to act like spoiled brats as they exchange public barbs at one another
of the usage of
FLASH technology.
Earlier this week Steve Jobs posted yet another critical posting regarding Adobe's FLASH saying it was the number one
reason that Mac's crashed, that it drained smart phone batteries too quickly and was a closed system. I believe
he also used the words "lazy" at some point in the past as well.
Today, Adobe
posted their latest responce to
Mr. Jobs. Frankly I'm getting a little tired of both of them as they are sounding more and more childish.
"Mine is bigger then yours" seems to be the new tactic, and i'm talking about press releases with nasty
words...
To be honest, my biggest complaint on the iPod touch and iPhone to date is the fact people are sending me links and
I am unable to view what they sent me because it was done in flash. Total PITA.
On the flip side, Apple calling FLASH a closed system is a joke in and of itself. If I want to develop an app
for the
iPhone or
iPad I have to OWN a Mac. No SDK for the PC. Pathetic, yet smart for sales for certain.
The point i'm trying to make here is there are some things that simply should, perhaps, be done in private. Go
sit in a room and call each other names. Both companies now just sound childish "taking it to the people". This
reminds me of when there are labor strikes and those ONE strike go public and drag out all the dirty laundry
in public. Really? Do you think I want to continue buying your product after YOU go back to work there if
it was THAT bad?
Grow up people...
