Was just checking out
MyNorthwest.com to see what has
been happening in the local news and saw a story about
Stefhan Roy Castellano, a
48 year old dude from North Bend who just got his, nineth...yes, that is the number 9, nineth DUI
arrest.
Say it slow with me...
Niiinnneee...
Nine. Really? Nine times? I think we need to make and update to the 3 strikes your out laws here in Washington State to include
drunk driving.
The only thing good about this story is the fact he has apparently managed NOT to hurt or kill anybody else. At this
point I could care less if he kills himself. Hell, the reality is we would ALL be safer if he did. But, since
he's been fortunate enough not to do that, lets lock him away. For his own good, and ours.
I know I know, I will probably hear from some of you on my Twitter that "it's a sickness, he cant help it". Well, actually, he CAN
help it. HE has the power to set down the drink. HE has the power to seek out help. HE has clearly chosen
not too.
Think i'm being harsh? Go sit in a room full of little kids who have lost their parents because someone else
"had a sickness" and killed their mom or dad then get back to me.
