There is no denying the United States economy is having a tough time of it. The list of major corporation announcing
significant layoffs continues to top the news, the major stock market index's have dropped to
1997 levels to
further reflect consumer confidence is in the dumps. (This is one of those moments in time I wish I HAD a bunch of
money stashed so I could buy some more stock. God knows it will get better and there are a ton of steals out there right
now.)
That all being said, the State of Washington is having it's fair share of problems with their
estimated $8 billion
budget deficit.
To make matters even worse, today in Seattle the
Woodland Park Zoo announced that their popular
Zoo Doo
program, a much loved compost product, is not going to happen this year. Apparently there are high levels of a herbicide. Oops.
I believe this is proof that Washington State Businesses cant sell crap in this economy!
