I still remember the day when I saw my dad ask my then young neice to "pull his finger". I just about died laughing. Now that I
have my own kids I feel it is my civic duty to pass on the legacy of the ultimate joke.
That being said, along comes the
iPhone and the
iPod Touch that allows you to download game and application. Some of the more popular items
as of recent weeks has been all the fart noise application. Two such items are the iFart application and the Pull My Finger app.
Now, who knew there was such a need or desire for
fart noises. I remember seing the first one hit the app store. I donwloaded the free
whoopi Cushion app and me and my kids had a fun weekend setting it off at each other. Then other fart application with multiple
fart noises started to appear.
Now, perhaps the ultimate "fart" has happened. The maker of Pull My Finger is taking
court action against the maker of iFart because in their marketing
they are USING the term "pull my finger". Sorry boys and girls, that phrase has been around a lot longer then the iPhone so it certainly
has been around longer their your stupid application. As a side note they want $50,000 to settle the case.
Wow, who knew there was that kind of money to be had in fart noises.
About all I can say about this story is..."Hey, pull my finger...."
Just saying...
