I was first exposed to the actor Jason Statham in the movie
The Transporter
in 2002. I remember to this day why I went to go see the movie. It was all due to one particular few second clip in the commercial trailer.
I'm willing to bet other Jason Statham fans know exactly what few seconds sold them on the film.
When Jason's character goes to confront the bad guys who just blew up his car there is a really quick scene where he rings the door bell
and the moment the guy looks out the peep hole you see a shot of Jason running at the door and he kicks it in. Even with all the movies Jason
has done to date, I still think this is Stathams most memorable moment to date. There are other for sure, but this movie moment is my top of
mind moment for him.
Movie magic, and an action star is born.
Thanks to this scene, subsequent Transporter movies and his portrail of Handsome Rob in the Italian Job, I've become a fan of his work.
If there were going to utilize real actors instead of CGI robots in the Terminator movies in the future I would think that
Dwayne Johnson and
Jason Statham would both do well as the Terminator, in my book that is.
