Steve Jobs stood not to large, but in charge at the
Apple Launch event in San Francisco California
today.
While there was a few product announcements like the iPod Nano getting a video camera, some price reductions on various units and
a new iTunes interface with new "iTunes LP" feature that lets you buy lyrics and such, there was no blow away
announcement leaving some disappointment, myself included.
As the proud owner of two iPod Touch music players, I REALLY have to ask..."When the hell can I get an iPod Touch with a Camera ????"
Seriously people...the interface HAS a photo album feature and you can get lots of
applications for playing with and sharing photo's, so
why the hell didn't you include some cheapo' camera in the device itself? It's such a "no duh" oversite I feel like I've been bitch
slapped by Cher in Moonstruck with her yelling "snap out of it".
If you take this a step forward, Apple could TOTALLY re-invent photography in general by creating a device that has a
really good mega-pixel camera (10+) within the iPhone or iPod touch devices with WiFi for easy sharing.
The big downer for people this year seems to be the lack of the announcement that iTunes will have the full beatles collection. Come
on Paul...I wanna hold your hand. You'd open up your music to a whole new generation of listeners via a method they, and us older music
junkies, are now embracing. Dont pull a metalica and get all pissy with people because your too stupid or old to embrace the wave of
change that has taken over music distrobution.
