Google Earth Spawns Google Weed

And in our fake news file today...

True: I read a story how Swiss police utilized a Google Earth map to locate a marijuana field.

Fake: Due to the growing use of Google Earth by law enforcement agencies around the world, Google released a new product called Google Weed which helps DEA agencies around the world locate pot fields by highlighting them.

"One of our engineers stumbled upon the fact that pot glows a certain color when you mess around with the hue and saturation on Google Earth images" a Google spokesperson said. "It seems they were zooming in on the main Google Campus doing some research when the anomoly was..."

It was at this point my phone interview ended because the phone went dead.

Upon further review this reporter noted that all Google employee locations were "blacked out" on the Google Weed images.
