Tonight on the 11pm news on
King5 they showed a women and her two small children
that had been stuck at
SeaTac Airport going on 3 days. She says they have had to sleep on the floor with no pillows or blankets and are running
out of money.
What the hell SeaTac?
I totally get the fact the weather is out of their control and that people are getting stuck at the airport due to this snow storm
is out of their control but at the same time you have to think they should be prepared to handle such extreme cases.
It was reported that area hotels are all full so there are certainly going to be cases of families needing to just stay at the aiport. You would think
that, since it's a small city/mall in and of itself, that they might have built in facilities to handle such things.
At the very least this is a customer service story waiting to happen by one of the airlines. If the planes are NOT flying, then pull all of
those lamn ass pillows and blankets off the planes and give them to the people who are stuck in your terminals.
Because of the economy and financial hardships I think they should also make available some discounted and or free meals for people stuck
at the airport.
