According to a
Komo TV article yet another house
built by
ABC's Extreme Makeover team is going up for sale.
As with many marriages, the parents divorced in August of this year and they say that because of Washington State's
community property law which says property must be "halved", that they are basically forced to sell the property which
by some estimates is worth $650,000 but is now up for sell at $550,000.
I understand life happens but at the same time I dont know how I really feel about these cases. This is now the third
time one of these homes has gone up on the market due to life events or bad decisions by the home-owners.
Perhaps the homes need to be legally put into a trust or something just because of how the homes are created? All those
volunteers giving all that time and now nothing.
It just seems wrong somehow.
