According to a
CNN article on Sunday an Iraq Journalist threw his shoes at President Bush, thankfully missing. Apparently this is a known insult in that culture. Regardless of
what you think of the man or his politics, I would hope we all agree that we would not want to see our President hurt in any way.
What ticks me off is the lack of quick responce. Where the hell was the
secret service? The guy managed to throw both of his shoes. Bush saw it coming, how come
nobody on the so called security staff did and jumped in the way? Hell, even the Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki saw it coming and tried to block it.
If that guy had had a gun or worse, this would be a very sad day because that security SUCKED!
Shame on them!!
