An open letter to our House of Representatives:
Dear members of the
house; YOUR FIRED!
You people should all be ashamed of yourselves. Your failure to act on the bailout measure today is
directly responsible for the largest single day dow point drop in history. You must be so proud. Now just
wait for tomorrow and see the REAL damange you have done. There will probably be a large scale sell off as people
panic and get out of the market. Again, you must be so proud.
Your ability to act as spoiled children amazes me. As soon as the vote came down you all start pointing fingers.
Democrats blame Republics for not doing "their part". Republicans blame the democrats...which frankly is actually pretty
laughable since the democrats voted 2:1 in favor and the Republicans voted 2:1 against it.
In a
cnn article House Republican
leaders blamed
Nancy Pelosi for the failure because she gave a partisan speech pointing the finger at President Bush and his
administrations failures. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? While I TOTALLY agree the this was nor the time nor place for her to open
her yapper, to say your party voted it down because you didn't think she was playing NICE has got to be the most partison and childish
thing I have EVER heard of.
GOOD LORD people, GROW UP!
While I still am not sure about how I feel about the bailout iself, what I would say is that NO earmarks should be
attached to this legislation, and all bonus structurs should be removed from the executives of the companies that we are bailing
out. It was THEIR failures as leaders that has caused this mess, why are we REWARDING them? And where is the JAIL time? The folks
at Enron certainly went to jail, this should be the same in my mind. After all, it's like...oh, I dont know...$700 billion times worse then
Enron.
